Take A Weekend Trip

You aren't driving to Cambridge for just a glass show. There is a lot to see and do while you are here:

The Glass Show features dealers from around the country who specialize in Cambridge and other elegant glass. A variety of glass from the practical to the rare is available for purchase.

The Glass Dash is a smaller glass show that is just held on Saturday morning. You can walk in the door as the first piece of glass is unwrapped. The room buzzes with excitement as shoppers rush from table to table to see what vendors brought to sell.

The National Museum of Cambridge Glass boasts an impressive collection of glass made during the company's 50+ year history. In addition to viewing the thousands of pieces on display, visitors can learn how the glass was made, see historical items from the factory, and browse the museum's gift shop.

Crowd Convention Registration provides the opportunity to not only shop the show, but attend informative presentations and network with fellow collectors during meals. This year you may use the Online Registration via PayPal or you may print out and mail in the PDF Registration Form.

The Convention actually opens on Wednesday, June 22nd, with a red carpet reception at the Pritchard-Laughlin Center. On Thursday morning, the Museum opens at 10:00am. The official opening session of the convention is the Thursday evening buffet dinner followed by the program in the Pritchard-Laughlin conference room on "Ishtar Meets Waterworld": Turkeys, Dogs and Famous Flops."

A trip to Cambridge isn't complete without visiting the downtown area, which has the Penny Court Antique Mall, Hopalong Cassidy Museum, and various dining options, including some historic restaurants where factory workers ate.

Visit the Mosser Glass Company where glass is still being made today. You can tour their factory or shop the showroom.

Visit the Boyds Crystal Art Glass showroom for a variety of glass figurines.
