How wonderful it would be to know that we have endowed the National Museum of Cambridge Glass for future generations? What a great legacy that would be!
The plan was, for the next four years, there would be an annual raffle to support the Endowment Fund for the National Museum of Cambridge Glass. From June 2013 to June 2014, up to 500 tickets were sold for a donation price of $50 each. It was hoped that over the next four years, we would seek to raise at least $100,000.00 for the NCC Endowment Fund. Unfortunately, there will be no more raffles, as there has not been another study group to volunteer to provide the glass and run the raffle. Members of the study group that sponsored the 2014 raffle have moved to other states, and those that remained as members of the group were unable to continue to sponsor the raffle.
Check out the amazing collection of Cambridge glass (at right) that was awarded to the grand prize winner for this year's campaign, Julie Davey. The NCC would like to thank each and every member who purchased a ticket for their support and loyalty.
Consider also donating glass for future raffles, join the Heritage Society or help our Endowment Campaign in any other way. Reach out to Ken and Jane Filippini (lobsterboy1@aol.com), Millie or Roger Loucks (njtocol@aol.com), or Rick and Cindy Jones (Caprice0@aol.com). We would love your help.
