Windsor Etching "Ye Olde Ivy" Stemware

. . . ensembled with Maddock & Millers' dinner service. Charmingly decorative in its engaging ivy motif . . . accentuating fine plate etching . . . set off by ringed stems . . . this beautiful thin glassware offers another flattering tribute to the Cambridge quality and distinction.

The Olde Ivy seems to be very scarce, but imagine the beauty of a table set with dinnerware and stems.

The Windsor etching is even more scarce, it has eluded us completely! The etching depicts an old English castle with overhanging trees. (It sounds out of proportion, but that is how it looks.) There is a flag on top of the castle tower on the pitcher. If anyone has a piece of Windsor etching, it would be a lovely item to share at a quarterly meeting.

Webmaster's NOTE: The detail of the etching is shown in the photograph at right, taken from the August, 1977 issue of the CRYSTAL BALL.
